Introducing Arfon Rhys

Arfon Rhys is a highly regarded free lance consultant and trainer in the areas of strategic planning, human resources, organisational development, and inter-personal communication. He conducts seminars to voluntary and community groups, cooperatives and NGOs interested in improving their strategic effectiveness, team building, organisational development and communication.

Recently he has been involved in training seminars with groups and workers in Community First areas while working for the Wales Cooperative Centre. At the moment he is taking part in an organisational development and training needs analysis for Credit Unions in Wales. Arfon is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development and has many years of experience as a human resource manager with a number of private companies and with BBC Wales.

He has worked in Coleg Menai, a Further Education College, as a manager and lecturer in Business and Management studies and on the PGCE programme. He is an External Verifier and NVQ assessor for the CIPD and for City and Guilds now. He is the author of publications in Welsh on supervisory and change management published by Menter a Busnes, and also on bilingual teaching for a WJEC project. His most recent publication was an Introduction to Teaching Adults published by Newport University in both English and Welsh.
